We say "what if" a lot at Mission Equality
I’m republishing some of my social media content - this was posted on LinkedIn
There are two phrases you tend to hear a lot in our Mission Equality chats and office hours: “what if” and “yes, and”. Both recognise that there are multiple possibilities on the path to an equal world. During my winter vacay, I started setting out our vision for how everything we do at Mission Equality hangs together. As you’ll see when we release it soon, it’s powerful and coherent.
One of the pillars is our Mx of Equality (MxE) programme. We think of it as an “Equality MBA”. It’s a programme for those who are desperate for a different approach to leadership, with thought and intention about representation, accountability, equity as well as the whole paradigm of leadership itself. It’s for people who want to take action and make change.
We’re not saying we have all the answers. After all, how could any single organisation be responsible for equality? However, we do have a shedload of created and curated tools, resources and training sessions that promise to make you think - and think again; to question what you have taken for granted; and to explore new, more balanced, less harmful ways of leading. The final project will be something you can and should implement in your own organisation to create more equality in your workplace.
Who are we to create this? A team of people passionate about equality, who have decades of consulting, educational and writing experience, and who want to create a better world for all of us, and for our children.
